Anne Basco, ERYT, Yoga Instructor/Owner

Anne will complete her Yoga Therapist Certification at the 500 hour level in July 2010, she is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher--200 with the Yoga Alliance, holds an Associates Degree in Physical Therapy, and has 24 years experience teaching healing exercise in a variety of therapy settings. These therapeutic, yoga, practice and training experiences combined serve to deepen the effects of Anne’s teachings to a more intuitive level. 

Anne has studied with TKV Desikachar, Laura Yon-Brooks, Erich Schiffmann, Sarah Powers, Stacy Lawson,  Eric Klein, and Jnani Chapman and more. 

Anne receives private yoga clients for those seeking a personalized practice or needing adaptation due to health challenges at Karuna Arts Yoga by appointment and organizes In Depth Yoga Study opportunities for those who are ready to explore the vastness of yoga.

Rajani Susan Reanier

Rajani Susan Reanier has studied classical yoga with Baba Hari Dass since 1980 and earned her yoga teacher certification from Mount Madonna Center in 1999. She is an RYT, registered yoga teacher with the national Yoga Alliance.

She has studied hatha yoga in the Iyengar tradition and Anusara style with a variety of teachers, and is currently pursuing certification as an Anusara yoga instructor.

As a wife, mother, and professional educator, she values yoga in her personal and professional life for the discipline, balance, and peace it offers. Her aim in teaching is to invite students to experience their inner wisdom and brilliance, to enjoy movement, and to find peace.

 

Joyce E. Vopni, RYT

Joyce is a graduate of the 15-month Yoga Study Program at Karuna Arts Yoga. A certified Medicinal Herbalist, she brings years of Ayurvedic training and dosha study to her practice and teaching. Trained and mentored by K. P. Khalsa, AHG and Chanchal Cabrera, MNIMH, AHG, she has also earned certificates of Herbal Studies with Christopher Hobbs L.Ac. at Bastyr University. For years Joyce taught in the Herbal Medicine Programs at Bellevue, Olympia, Tacoma and Highline Community Colleges. It was during her Ayurvedic studies the she developed an interest yoga and especially its effects on balancing the systems of the body.

Joyce will complete her 500 hour level Yoga Therapist Certification in July 2010.

Roger Schert, RYT

Roger began Yoga with the asana’s taught by the Transcendental Mediation teachers in the 1970’s. He has been on a spiritual quest since then and has learned several varieties of energy healing, shamanism, meditation, and karate. He joined Normandy Park Yoga’s Instructor Training Program in 2006. He has been a Reiki Master since 1995. He is a Celtic Shamanic practitioner and is passionate about helping people reach their highest potential. He understands that the greatest human potential occurs when the body, mind and soul are treated in a compassionate and holistic manner.

 

 

 



 

 

Renee Klein, RYT

After years of exploring various exercise and fitness regimens, Renee Klein began practicing yoga in 2000. She has taken classes and workshops in several yoga traditions, yet teaches in the viniyoga lineage because of the tremendous benefits it offers everybody and every body.

Under the wise and compassionate instruction of her teacher Anne Basco, Renee’s yoga journey has blossomed into a lifestyle with much greater physical, emotional and spiritual balance.

Renee believes yoga offers something for everyone: “You may come to yoga, like I did, for physical strength and flexibility; you may find that you stay with yoga for many wonderful reasons beyond that.”  Outside of the yoga studio, Renee is a communications and marketing consultant who works with leading businesses and nonprofit organizations.
