Karuna Arts Yoga
Class Descriptions

The word “Hatha” is an umbrella term for any physical practice that is called yoga.  At Karuna Arts Yoga we offer Viniyoga and Anusara yoga, Gentle Flow Yoga and more.

viniyoga:

This  approach to yoga practice/postures emphasize balancing the spine and breath awareness. The term viniyoga translated from Sanskrit means “to adapt.” Adapting the practice to fit each student's needs is the essence of this methodology whose roots draw from the teaching of Sri Krishnamacharya whose philosophy was that the yoga should meet the student's needs.

Beginner Yoga:

Students new to yoga and those returning after being away from yoga for a while should use our beginner class on Wednesdays at 5:30 pm or the "All Levels" classes.  Our classes are designed to allow the yoga to meet you where you are today.  We each have unique qualities and needs throughout our lives and yoga is adaptable to meet any your needs.
